| The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented the Scientific and Engineering Award to David Grober and Scott Lewallen for the development of the PERFECT HORIZON Camera Stabilization Head. David Grober accepted the award presented by Actress Rachel McAdams who hosted this years Scientific and Technical OSCAR® Award ceremonies February 18, 2006 in Beverly Hills, California.
The Perfect Horizon is no stranger to awards, having won an Emmy last year for Outstanding Achievement in Engineering from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The Perfect Horizon neutralizes motion encountered in boats, camera cars, snowmobiles and other vehicles, thus providing a stable image. The Perfect Horizon has become a valuable film tool. It is small, lightweight, and sets up in five minutes. | | Allows hands-on camera operation using a standard fluid head, or substitute remote controls with systems like Hot Gears, PanaHead or ArriHead. When used underslung, it will accept a number of remote heads. So when it comes to state-of-the-art stabilization in an easy to use, lightweight package, the Perfect Horizon is perfect on land, sea, or air.
